When can I watch Heroes Season 5 / Chapter 6?

Annoying Heroes isn't coming back, at least not yet anyway. There are currently two rumors doing the rounds:

1 - A mini season: Could happen. Some of the previous chapters were only half a season and wrapped up quite nicely so this would be a good way of sorting everything out in 12 episodes or less. Digital Spy seem to have good evidence this could be the case.

2 - 'Another format': All Tim Kring interviews following the cancellation of Heroes Season 5 had him hinting that the show could return in another format. That potentially means DVD only, movie or comic. A comic is the most likely, with the show already well designed for the format. As for a movie don't expect to see anything for a few years, if a TV network won't touch it then a movie is unlikely.

So when can you watch Heroes Season 5 in the UK or US? If a mini season gets picked up not until 2011, and who knows maybe you'll be reading the next season in a comic instead.

Long Time No Speak!

If you've been coming to the site any time in the last oooh year and a half you'll probably notice I've gone quiet. No I'm not one of the Lost writers in hiding, nor have I saught the need to hide a secret identity. Truth is I've been working and following the conclusion of Freebie-Man I moved to Hampshire, started Internet Marketing and was recurited by a UK SEO Company. I also couldn't resist the occasional Freebie for old times sake.

Interestingly this didn't present a world a million miles away from that of gathering freebies. It still involved liasing with PR agencies, newspapers and writing articles on just about anything. Freebie-Man itself make it in the USA Today, BBC Radio 5 Live, The Times and Web User Magazine so this gave me good experience in how to take a site to the press and gain good value links.

Internet Marketing also needs a degree of internet research and a confident persona so it was a good fit for the tipes outlined in the Don't Buy It Blag It book - still available free here

What this means for Freebie-Man is a change in to 'Word of Mike' the contiuation of the old column I wrote for my first gaming site back in 2001. Topics will evolve away from gaming to include the entire Freebie-Man archive, Internet Marketing tips, Blagging advice and general ramblings from someone who spends way too much time online.

To learn more about what I do in my day job, including Internet Marketing in Hampshire visit Impact Media or email me on mike@blagman.co.uk.

400 Products later....

Today marks the end of the Freebie-Man quest. A quest which spanned two years and asked the simple question "Can anyone get just about anything for free?".

The answer was a resounding yes, with over 400 products (worth £5000 / $8000) gained simply by asking nicely. From a kitchen sink to my entire Christmas for two years I proved that nice people can get something for nothing. Over time this strategy evolved in to the principle of a unique offer, a way of asking for something for free in return for your help of some kind which became a four step plan for anyone to get just about anything for free.

How to get free furniture

Today we answer a query from long time reader, contributor and one of the first ever readers of the Freebie-Man book: pgaleota who asks:

"OK so I need some gorgeous furniture... I am hopefully buying a house and will need some bits, I LOVE Laura Ashley, how can I get some??"

There are two options here, the first is simple and the other, well lets say it involves getting your hands dirty.
